大黄：蓼科植物掌叶大黄　　Rheum palmatum L．、唐古特大黄Rheum tanguticum Maxim. ex Balf.或药用大黄Rheum officinale Baill.的干燥根和根茎。秋末茎叶枯萎或次春发芽前采挖，除去细根，刮去外皮，切瓣或段，绳穿成串干燥或直接干燥。
地龙：钜蚓科动物参环毛蚓Pheretima aspergillum（E．Perrier）、通俗环毛蚓Pheretima vulgaris Chen、威廉环毛蚓 Pheretima guillelmi （Michaelsen）或栉盲环毛蚓Pheretima pectinifera Michaelsen的干燥体。前一种习称“广地龙”，后三种习称“沪地龙”。广地龙春季至秋季捕捉，沪地龙夏季捕捉，　　及时剖开腹部，除去内脏和泥沙，洗净，晒干或低温干燥。
芒消：为硫酸盐类芒硝族矿物芒硝 Mirabilite 的提纯品。

Indications: 小儿三岁以下，忽患伤寒阴阳二毒。

Usage and dosage: 上为末，阴干再研。姜汁调灌，量之。
