Wild Medicinal Plants in Lishan Nature Reserve,Shanxi

Abstract Lishan Nature Reserve is located in southeast of Shanxi and the east section of Zhongtiao Mountains,where there are 539 wild medical plants, belonging to 370 genus and 100 families. According to their curative effect, those plants were divided into 11 categories: (1) clearing heat and removing toxin plants 142 species, (2) anti-tussive,elimating sputum,and relieving asthma 48 species, (3) dispelling damp and algidity 16 species, (4) regulating blood 72 species, (5) restorative liver and kidney and soothing the nerves 36 species, (6) stomachic and antihypertensive 32 species, (7) treating diarrhea and constringency 19 species,(8) insecticides and anti-parasitics 37 species, (9) anti-inflammation,diuretic and detumescent 57 species, (10) treating rheumatism 36 species and (11) antipyretic and analgesic 44 species. Moreover, based on the situation of wild medicinal plants in Lishan Nature Reserve,the strategies for the exploitation and utilization of those resources were discussed.
