Alternaria species on medicinal plants in Gansu Province

Abstract The genus Alternaria,which infects 20 species of medicinal plants from 13 families,such as Leguminosae,Solanaceae,Asteraceae and so on,has been found to be an important pathogen in several disease surveys in Gansu Province since 2004.The symptoms were different in degrees.Twelve strains were ascertained,while 7 strains were not.The results in the paper are helpful for deciding the control methods for medicinal plants diseases.
