Investigation on Resource Distribution and Morphous Condition of Berberis nummularia Bge. in Ili River''s Drainage Basin

Abstract Berberis nummularia Bge.(Berberidaceae,Berberis L.)is one of typical plants in Xinjiang and central Asia area.In the paper the resource distribution,ecological condition,morphologic,reproductive and cultural characteristics of Berberis nummularia Bge.used as food and drug in Ili river''s drainage basin was investigated.All the parts''specimen of the plant were collected and studied.It''s medical,economic and ecological valve,resource development and protection were also systematically described.The studies supply some scientific foundations for the exploitation and study of the plant for traditional Chinese medicine and ethnopharmacology.This work provided scientific evidence for wild plants resources protection and exploitation.
