The Revision Suggestions on the Description of Macroscopic Characters or Origins of Some Medicinal Plant Materials in 2020 Edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia (Volume Ⅰ)

Abstract By comparing the related discipline theory and observing the physical medicinal plant materials,we found that in 2020 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia (volumeⅠ),there exist some problems in the description of the macroscopic characters or the origins of 47 medicinal plant materials,including conceptual or formulation mistake,the description is unclear and incompletely,or the non-technical terms were used in the description.And some revision and improvement suggestions have been proposed so as to reflect the macroscopic characters more accurately.It is a useful exploration for further regulate the scientific description of the macroscopic characters of medicinal plant materials.
