Plans for development of ornamental plant greenhouse in Kunming region, China

摘要 Through study and analysis on ornamental plant greenhouses in Kunming region of Yunnan Province, China, the article puts forward that Kunming regions one of the most suitable regions in China to develop ornamental plant greenhouses. Based on the climate and present situation of ornamental plant greenhouse in this region, a proposal is presented that the present small and medium-sized greenhouses with bamboo log frame should be gradually substituted by multi-span plastic tunnel greenhouses. While internationally advanced planting technology is continuously introduced in Kunming region, modern plastic greenhouses shall be introduced into the region as well in a planned way according to the local conditions.
