Determination of Total Alkaloids from Aconitum Medicinal Plants in Sichuan by Acid Dye Spectrophotometry

摘要 The extraction of aconitum plants was soaked in pH 4.65 acid buffer solution allowing diterpenoid alkaloid to form complexes with bromocresol green,the complexe in chloroform was extracted and determined at the wavelength of 415 nm.The method was applied for the determination of total alkaloids of aconitum medicinal plants in Sichuan Province of China.The calibration curve for aconitine was linear within the concentration range of 8.8-52.8 mug/mL(r=0.999 87,n=6).The average recovery of total alkaloids was 99.548%.The method is highly sensitive,simple,accurate and rapid.
