摘要 A lot of Viola species aredistributed in China and are used as traditional Chinese Medicines for a long time. Based on the original text and attached pictures of the Viola plants contained in the ancientliterature of Chinese herbs,thepresent research applied modern plant taxonomy method to study the medicinal Viola plants from the aspects of medicinalapplicationhistory and medicinal varieties. The results clarifiedbotanical sources andmedicinal history for the Viola plants. It would provide the basis for the development and application of the medicinal plants of Viola.
