蒲黄：香蒲科植物水烛香蒲Typha angustifolia L．、东方香蒲Typha orientalis Presl或同属植物的干燥花粉。夏季采收蒲棒上部的黄色雄花序，晒干后碾轧，筛取花粉。剪取雄花后，晒干，成为带有雄花的花粉，即为草蒲黄。
牛黄：牛科动物牛Bos taurus domesticus Gmelin的干燥胆结石。宰牛时，如发现有牛黄，即滤去胆汁，将牛黄取出，除去外部薄膜，阴干。
冰片：
地黄：玄参科植物地黄Rehmannia glutinosa Libosch．的新鲜或干燥块根。秋季采挖，除去芦头、须根及泥沙，鲜用；或将地黄缓缓烘焙至约八成干。前者习称“鲜地黄”，后者习称“生地黄”。

Indications: 头痈，面痈，小儿丹毒。

Usage and dosage: 上为极细末。用芭蕉根汁或扁柏叶汁和蜜
调敷。如肿硬不消，因气凝血滞，或痰块结而不
散，则兼阴证矣，宜用姜汁、葱汁调敷。
