厚朴：木兰科植物厚朴Magnolia officinalis Rehd. et Wils．或凹叶厚朴Magnolia officinalis Rehd. et Wils.var.biloba Rehd. et Wils．的干燥干皮、根皮及枝皮。 4～6月剥取，根皮和枝皮直接阴干；干皮置沸水中微煮后，堆置阴湿处，“发汗’’至内表面变紫褐色或棕褐色时，蒸软，取出，卷成筒状，干燥。
生姜：姜科植物姜Zingiber officinale Rosc.的新鲜根茎。秋、冬二季采挖，除去须根和泥沙。

Usage and dosage: 水一升，同煮干，拣去姜，将厚朴焙干。
又用干姜一两、甘草五钱、水一升，再同厚朴煮
干，拣去甘草，将干姜、厚朴焙燥，研为细末；
另用大枣一斤、生老姜二两煮熟，拣去姜，将枣
捣如泥，和厚朴末为丸，如梧桐子大。每服五十
丸，清晨米饮汤送下。
